What To Do If You Encounter a Fraudster

Option 1: Register Online Cyber Crime Complaint

1. Visit the official Government of India cyber crime portal
2. Click on “Report Cyber Crime”
3. Select “Financial Fraud” or “Other Cyber Crime”
4. Fill in your details and incident information
5. Upload screenshots, payment proofs, call records
6. Submit and note the acknowledgment number

Option 2: Register Complaint In Person

1. Visit your nearest police station or cyber crime cell
2. Carry ID proof (Aadhaar / PAN)
3. Carry call logs, WhatsApp chats, bank statements
4. Submit a written complaint mentioning fraud details
5. Request FIR or acknowledgment receipt

Note: Cyber fraud is a punishable offense under Indian IT Act. Prompt reporting increases chances of recovery.
